Best Beer: Mac’s Gold: All Malt Lager

This week I gave Marc’s Gold a run. It looked promising from the start, all malt no less! I said I would give it a go despite not being the full bang at only 4.0% and wasent exactly cheap at €2.20 for the bottle. The Bottle was funky, looked like Mac had made it in his shed (a pastime which is close to my own heart as future posts will confirm) and the label suggested it was naturally brewed. So its not your average beer, and to be fair it tastes quite good with a good maltyness(is this a word?) to it. Unfortunately I could’nt warm to it and I would have to advise giving this one a miss….

There was however one saving grace for Mac and his Malty Brew and that was the Cap. I have to admit the cap was alot of the reason why I bought the beer, it just looked different so I had to try it. Something about it made me feel more involved as I was taking off the cap with my bare hands!

So in conclusion Mac: Nice Cap! Pity about the Beer
